I have to be honest here for a minute. Digital photography is getting more and more ugly. Everywhere we turn we are bombarded with over processed, fake color, skin smoothing, and just generally fake looking pictures. Digital photography is great, we love it too, but the current state, in a general sense, digital photos are just starting to look gross.

So to take a break and get back to our roots for a refresh, we’re pulling scans for reference. Real tones, real colors. Real pictures.

Photographers, what do you think? Can we get back to basics and make good exposures and process a little more light handed?
