Smoking Tumbleweeds in Joshua Tree

Big love in the midst of Joshua Trees and the incredible Tumbleweed Sanctuary, Garden and labyrinth.

Not far from Joshua Tree National Park, the tumbleweed Sanctuary offers up a truly unique wedding experience.

The Wedding

California desert weddings are becoming a favorite for us. Especially weddings in Joshua Tree. There is something magical about this little corner of the world, and honestly it has to be experienced. The light that bounces off the ground is beautifully soft and reflective. Even in harsh light the ground provides enough fill light to even out exposures. The desert plants and Joshua Trees feel like they are out of the scene of a movie, and the vast openness feels exhilarating. The soft glow at sunset is a must see and it’s even better when you get to make photos in it.

The Sanctuary

The Sanctuary is an indoor venue, The space is a blank canvas. The Sanctuary is intimate. Furnished comfortably to accommodate a number of guests within the open area floor plan. The Sanctuary is air conditioned, and all furniture and decor is included.

The Garden

The garden grounds are a space to get connected to the desert. It has plenty of space for seating. The meditation path and extended grounds start and end beneath iron arches. The path will find you interacting with indigenous desert plants and an opportunity to breath in some desert air. And this is where the ceremonies are held.

The labyrinth

The labyrinth represents wholeness. From Tumbleweed Sanctuary’s website. “Our Labyrinth symbolizes meeting in the circle of community, ceremony and celebration. It serves to strengthen the center of intention, integrity and integration with a shared commitment to the greater good.” Doesn’t that sound like the best place to get married?
