One of the first problems you're likely to encounter is the residency clause that prevents tourists from getting married on day one. According to their laws, you need to remain in France for at least forty days before you can have an official wedding. One solution to this problem is to stay in Paris for 40 days, but that can be pretty expensive and it means you'll need to put your life on hold. What the majority of couples do is to handle the official and legal aspects of the marriage within their own country. This doesn't mean you need a ceremony or a wedding dress for the occasion. It's a process that's handled mostly in the courtroom. From that point, you can jet to France and deliver your wedding vows in one of the most romantic cities in the world, Paris.

These two rented a beautiful flat in the heartbeat of Paris. With a balcony big enough for a Rabi and us. After the ceremony we rode around Paris, stopping anywhere that felt like a good photo opportunity. We slow rolled the city in a classic Citroën and it was the perfect quintessential Paris vibe.
