A La Posada de Santa Fe Wedding Story
From the brides. “It was important for the feel and look to fit in with Santa Fe so it felt natural, yet modern. We just went with our normal vibe. Laid back but well curated.” A La Posada de Santa Fe wedding story.
Amy and Taylor
Santa Fe, New Mexico - La Posada
la posada is a luxury resort on six historically rich acres in downtown Santa fe. it combines upscale amenities and elegant accommodations of a contemporary resort with authentic adobe architecture.
Amy and Taylor are two wonderful women from Dallas who gathered in New Mexico with their closest family and friends in New Mexico.
Santa Fe is a special place for this couple - the look and feel of Santa Fe was exactly what they wanted for their laid back bohemian themed wedding. in their own words, they wanted their wedding day to feel small and intimate… like the best dinner party you’ve ever been too. while we agree that this was definitly the best dinner party we have ever been to - it was a well curated wedding with exquisite southwestern inspired arrangements of cacti and succulents. both ladies dressed in lace wedding gowns and minimal jewelry.
Amy and Taylor got ready in the same suite and although they chose not to see each other until their first look, this put a really fun energy in the air. they were speaking to each other through walls and doors or covering their eyes if one of them needed to walk past to get into one of the other rooms. Amy was getting her makeup done while we tried to sneak Taylors dress past her to photograph. one bride hidden away while the other dressed and vice versa. tequila shots were being catered from one room to the next by their best friends. neither one of them stopped laughing and this continued through the rest of the day.
It was an absolute honor to be invited into such an intimate space with Amy and Taylor who opened up to us and invited us inside of their love story.
